Where Halal Foodie founder Salima Jivraj eats African and Indian food

For family gatherings and sit-down meals, this is where Jivraj and her family eat. She says the family owned restaurant does East African cuisine very well. “Many East-African dishes are labour intensive, and Simba Grill consistently produces some of the best home-style food I’ve had,” Jivraj said.

“Really great restaurant! A nice and cozy place. Just found it online by chance and brought my mom here because she was born in Kenya. The food was really good! Tried the mogo, beef mushkaki, beef samosas and beef kebabs and they were all really great! Owners were really friendly and made good conversation. Had a lot of leftovers to take home too. Will be coming back again in the future hopefully!”
